This property is an amazing gem nestled in the mountain lands of beautiful Amherst County VA. The original home place still stands and is habitable for a glamping type of stay and sits right above the rushing waters of the Buffalo River. Water has been run to the home from the river for convenience and an outhouse has been put on the property for necessity. There is a storage shed near the house for tools, a side-by-side or four wheeler storage. You will appreciate fishing in the river, the little swimming hole and a ‘beach’ the current owner created by the drivable bridge that accesses the property from the state maintained road. While the land is completely fenced and usable for cattle it also offers a few nice places to build and/or have a plentiful garden and crops. On the backside of the property, about halfway up the cut road access to the top of the mountain, there is a gate that yields access to the American Forest and Cove Creek.
